Mission Statement

Founded in 1910, the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce is the oldest and largest business organization in Broward County and it is apparent that throughout our history we have transitioned to better serve the business community. Growing businesses and building our community has been a longtime passion of the GFLCC and as always the Chamber has been able to depend on its numerous volunteers to help implement our plans and define our future.

The Chamber’s goal is to bring businesses, organizations and individuals together to help develop a vibrant community and we are doing that by working diligently on the resolution of affordable/workforce/attainable housing, partnering with other organizations on regional transportation initiatives, beach re-nourishment as well as other business-related issues.

In addition to being the #1 Go To Source for the Business Community, the Chamber offers unique opportunities for its members through special events, regional and international business development, community forum programs, leads groups, networking functions, leadership programs, Trustee receptions, business after hours, area council functions an annual golf tournament as well as general membership programs.

Marty Elberg, Circle of Life Legal Services

Circle of Life Legal Services is an estate planning practice that focuses on helping families enhance their lives today and secure their futures for tomorrow.  Attorney Marty Elberg helps guide clients through the often confusing maze of financial and legal decisions to create plans that ensure the well-being of families and the accomplishments of cherished family goals.

Marty Elberg graduated from California Western School of Law in 2006. After graduation, Marty moved back to his hometown of Eagle Grove, Iowa to be closer to his and his wife’s family where they could raise their boys with the same Midwestern values they learned.  Soon after he was admitted to the Iowa bar in 2007, he opened his own practice to serve the small town.  After several years of growing his business and transitioning their boys into responsible young men, Marty and his wife moved to Florida. He now resides in Fort Lauderdale with his wife, Susie. Their children live in Iowa and Virginia. One is in the Army National Guard and the other is in the US Navy.

Community involvement has always been a top priority for Marty. In April of 2015 he was appointed to the Board of Directors of Voices for Children of Broward County. This organization helps bring normalcy to neglected and abused children under the care of the state in Broward County.  He was also selected as one of three finalists for the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year Award.
