For more than 45 years, Southwest Airlines has been about connecting People and championing communities. As a key partner of Southwest Airlines, I wanted to share with you that we launched a $1 million competitive charitable grant program earlier this week.
Between now and October 22, 2018, eligible 501(c)(3) organizations and K-12 schools with an aviation focus are invited to apply for a grant of up to $50,000 by visiting swa.is/grant. Specifically, Southwest Airlines is seeking to invest in three targeted areas that will play a strategic role in setting future generations up for success.
- K-12 STEM Education (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math)
- Building a resilient workforce
- Leadership development
The grant funds will be awarded to nonprofits that are selected through the grant application and review process from the Southwest Airlines Foundation, a corporate advised fund of the Silicon Valley Community Foundation®.
We value our partnerships and hope you consider sharing the grant information with qualified organizations you are affiliated with or are passionate about that align with our three targeted areas.
Whether in the air or on the ground, we believe community is more than a place; it’s at the Heart of what brings us together. We appreciate your continued support as we develop the community and Leaders of tomorrow.
