The 2018 Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday begins on Friday, June 1, 2018, and ends on Thursday, June 7, 2018. During this sales tax holiday period, qualifying items related to disaster preparedness are exempt from sales tax.
The sales tax holiday does not apply to:
• the rental or repair of any of the qualifying items.
• sales in a theme park, entertainment complex, public lodging establishment, or airport.
Notice to Businesses with Multiple Locations
If you report sales tax for all of your locations on one consolidated tax return, this publication was mailed to the main business address listed on your return. This publication was not mailed to each of your locations. Please be sure you notify all of your individual store locations about this sales tax holiday and the specific provisions in this publication. A list of qualifying items and a copy of this publication are available on the Department’s website at floridarevenue.com.
