The New Year is starting off with a bang in South Florida and the first quarter should be phenomenal. There is so much activity right now. Parking lots are full, lines the norm, and cash registers are ringing. I was never happier to wait to be seated for dinner last week.
Our newly elected and appointed Directors, led by Robert Barron, Berger Singerman, have met several times already, set some goals for the year and will approve an enhanced Chamber volunteer structure tonight at their first formal meeting.
This year’s philosophy to celebrate 100 years of doing business is an “abundance mentality.” We are approaching our programs, products and services, communications and collaborations from the vantage point that paying it forward creates win/win scenarios (not to mention it makes you feel good). More on this next week.
To set the stage we will all gather this Friday at the Chamber for a kick-off celebration—Amethyst, 6:30 pm. This event is sure to please with everything from purple carpet, entertainment, great food and drink to a “goodie bag” to end all. Click here to reserve your cabana or buy tickets.
Right after the Pro Bowl and Super Bowl we launch into our 100th Annual Meeting on February 12. US Chamber President and CEO Tom Donohue will bring us up to date on all the national issues, including job creation and federalized health care which is looking less likely as of this writing. Click here to learn more about partnering with us or attending the Centennial Meeting.
Please join us and catch the wave of what is 100 years of doing business in South Florida.
