Welcome to the 100th Year of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce. There are many things in store for 2010, as your Chamber’s Centennial kicks into gear.
This month we host Amethyst, presented by P&E Solutions and Advocate Home Care Services, a “one night only” celebration at the Chamber on Friday, January 29. To date the Project 100 Team has made great strides in sprucing up the place—everything from landscaping to flat screen televisions. I have been impressed with the leadership of Chairman Brad Minto, Performance Audio/Video, and the dedication of his crew. Much thanks to all these outstanding volunteers.
On Friday, February 12, our 100th Annual Meeting, presented by Trane, will be held at the Harbor Beach Marriott, 11:30-1:30, with US Chamber President and CEO Tom Donohue as keynote speaker. We expect over 400 members, elected officials and honored guests. This is a great opportunity for you to sponsor a portion of the meeting and get your company brand in front of decision makers. Please contact me if you are interested, firstname.lastname@example.org.
Also this month, your leadership will have a strategic retreat at Nova Southeastern University to set goals. We made great strides under the capable leadership of 2009 Chair Sidney Calloway, Shutts & Bowen, and Robert Barron, Berger Singerman, is equal to the task.
