Each year we celebrate
businesswomen who have had a significant impact on our community at the Womenís
Circle of Excellence Awards, present again by our partner, BankAtlantic,
tomorrow, June 21, 11:30 am at the Signature Grand.
This yearís awardees are no
exception to our previous, talented honorees. Lifetime Achievement,
Marsha Levy, HANDY, Inc.; Education, Dr. Peggy Turcotte, Broward College;
Professional Services, Courtney Crush, Crush Law; Law Enforcement,
Lt. Colonel Kim Spadaro, Broward County Sheriff; Non-profit, Regine
Cordon, Childrenís Home Society; Health and Welfare, Audrey Millsaps; and
Women Entrepreneurs, Cindy Kushner, Crowe Horwath, LLP.
As a community volunteer for
HANDY, Inc. (Helping Abused Neglected and Disadvantage Youth), Marsha Levy
devotes herself daily to helping kids and young adults. She has been a member
of HANDY for 20 years and is involved in its scholarship and education
programs. Mrs. Levy has also been active with the Broward County School System
and Broward College to provide tutoring, mentoring and enrichment through the
STARS Academy, providing services to hundreds of students to attend college or
vocational tech programs.
All of our awardees will be
recognized through the
Chamberís web site. Women In Distress will be the benefactor of the silent
auction taking place during the luncheon.
