Showing up makes difference

A cardinal sin of being a member of the Chamber is not showing up.  I’m continually shocked that folks believe joining this wonderful organization will automatically cause their phone to ring or customers to line up at the door.

Fact of the matter is that you need to work your membership and have a business strategy.  Some people talk a good game but few have the discipline to persevere.  I personally know of many members who, once they engaged in events and programs, now get much of their business through other Chamber members.

That is why you want to show up for this Thursday’s Jazz in the Hall, presented by Edward Jones/William J. Holland and MSC Cruises, beginning at 5:00 pm at the Chamber.  Over 200 members and guests will be on hand to discuss and transact business, partake in food and libations, listen to great jazz and have a chance to win a seven day cruise graciously offered by MSC Cruises.

Members of our 42-company strong Board of Directors will be there as well as our councils and staff.  Our sold out exhibit hall gives you a first hand opportunity to learn more about doing business with other members.

There are many reasons why people join the Chamber.  Showing up at events like Jazz in the Hall to develop relationships and create business opportunities makes the difference between those in the game and those still looking for a free ticket.

See you at the Chamber.
