Summer's almost over and many of you are coming back from vacations, sending kids back to school and getting back into the groove of things.
Here at the Chamber, we have been working hard to enrich programming for our members and have quite a few exciting things in the works for the coming months...
In September we will be hosting Jazz in the Hall, our table top member showcase, on the 17th right here at the Chamber offices. If you have been to this event you know what a fun time it is! Exquisite food being provided by our members, and libations enhance the evening as we network with over 150 Chamber members. If you would like to participate as one of the tabletops, contact Doug Frens, firstname.lastname@example.org or visit www.ftlchamber.com/jazz for more information.
Shortly after, the Chamber will be leading a delegation of 75 business and community activists to lobby on federal issues affecting our region during our 2015 Washington Summit - Presented by Florida Power and Light. Past delegations have been able to meet with Congressional leaders -successfully expounding our message regarding Port Everglades, Mission United and Healthcare reform. This year is no different and we have legislative teams working on issues pertaining to the airport, beach restoration, civil rights, energy, environment, the federal courthouse, health/human services, transportation, Port Everglades and veteran affairs.
