Fort Lauderdale, FL --March 14, 2017-- The Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the hire of Liz Beeble as Director of Communications. She brings eight years of both television and print journalism experience to the position and will be responsible for maintaining and growing the Chamber’s social media presence, as well as communicating with members, and promoting Chamber-sponsored events.
Beeble is a two-time Emmy Award-winning journalist, most recently working as the lead producer for WSVN 7 News’ flagship 10 p.m. broadcast. During her time at 7, she covered major events including the Pulse Nightclub shooting in Orlando, Fla. and the 2016 Paris terror attacks. Beeble moved to South Florida from Orlando, where she worked for WESH 2 News and produced coverage of the Casey Anthony murder trial and death of Trayvon Martin. She graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
