Expansion window opens
Job creation continues to be priority one as we move forward in 2012. We see expansion coming in a variety of market sectors and all of our leading economic indicators for South Florida remain positive.
Projects at the Greater Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, Port Everglades, NOVA Southeastern University, continuation of 595, and upgrades to FP&Lís plants are significant stimulus for our region.
Our Council of Economic Advisors has issued a solid report through June 2012 with more activity than at any time in my four years at the helm as president of your Chamber. The time is now for you to position your company to catch this economic wave.
To do that you should have put a plan in place that unlocks markets and creates new partnerships with other Chamber members. Iíve noticed increasingly that there is a significant disparity between those members who plug into the power of the Chamber and those who wait for the business to come to them.
We like to call this ROI a Return on Involvement. Iíve often said that it doesnít matter where you start as long as you start. Showing up at events, leads groups, the Chamberís 102nd Annual Meeting presented by BB&T, a Chairmanís Circle/Trustee Reception or taking advantage of any number of over 175 programs, products or services can significantly help your bottom line.
If you donít know where to start, simply email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) and we will work with you to help chart your course to success.
