Sandra Veszi-Einhorn, co-chair of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce's nonprofit committee and board member proudly nominates Tony Beall, President/CEO of Mister Nonprofit Consultancy, Inc. as the March Chamber Not for Profit Hero of the Month.  Tony was asked to serve as interim co-chair of the nonprofit committee and did so without hesitation from September 2015 through January 2016. Having been one of the founding members of the committee Tony displayed his unwavering commitment by ensuring, in partnership with Sandra and Chamber staff, that the nonprofit committee maintained its high level of participation and relevance. Tony made sure that speakers were confirmed for each monthly meeting, assisted in co-facilitating the meetings with Sandra and introduced new ideas to strengthen the educational value of the committee meetings.

During the course of his career, Tony has received numerous national and local awards; including a National Excellence Award from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, two time recipient of the American Express Chairman’s Award for Quality and the 2012 New Small Business of the Year Award from the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce.

Tony has an impressive portfolio of nonprofit organizations that have benefitted from his expertise and passion. Included in that portfolio are the William J. Clinton Foundation, Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, American Foundation for AIDS Research, The World AIDS Institute, Humane Society, The Unforgettable Prom Foundation, City of Hallandale Beach, Kids Ecology Corps, ArtServe, Community Foundation of Broward, Broward Healthy Start Coalition, Children's Home Society, Partners In Education, Rebuilding Together, Morningday Community Solutions, Tomorrow's Rainbow and many more.

Tony continues to serve as a community connector and a champion of collective impact. Thank you Tony for your commitment to our nonprofit members and the communities they serve.

Jennifer Brin Kovach – Jim Moran Institute – Runs the Chamber small business workshops.  Sits on the small business committee.  Knows everyone and tries to help them get the max for their membership with the chamber. 

Jennifer Brin Kovach is the Director of the South Florida Outreach Division for the Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship in the College of Business at Florida State University. When hired, Kovach was tasked with establishing the South Florida Outreach Division from the ground up in order to advance the Jim Moran Institute’s mission to cultivate, train, and inspire entrepreneurial leaders. Within three short years Kovach created a full scale entrepreneur and non-profit leadership training division offering nearly 100 small to large events annually to 700 plus leaders. With Kovach at its helm, the division now serves the community through a Small Business Executive Program, Advice Straight Up Expert Speaker Series, CEO roundtables, and its annual Business & Leadership Conference.

In an effort to connect with small business leaders, Kovach is also a member of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce. Kovach serves on the chamber’s Small Business Committee and plans its Small Business Committee Breakfast Forums.

Kovach’s professional background includes extensive leadership roles in business development and the non-profit sector, with experience in management, finance, fundraising, event planning, educational programming, and marketing. Kovach, a native of South Florida, earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Social Work from Florida State University and a Master’s in Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University.

Henderson Behavioral Health proudly nominates Melissa Milroy, Senior Marketing Manager for The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale, as the October Chamber Not for Profit Hero of the Month.  Melissa has served on Henderson’s gala committee for the last two years and hosted Henderson for the Spring for Mental Health Event at Truluck’s at The Galleria in May (Mental Health Awareness Month). Melissa has generously provided gift cards and gift baskets for many special events and auctions, and is always willing to partner and collaborate with not only Henderson, but many of the Chamber’s Not for Profit organizations.

Melissa and her PR team created The Galleria Men of Style event held each December at The Galleria that benefits 12 of Broward County’s charities.  Melissa currently serves on the board of The Heart Gallery of Broward, and is a former member of the Artserve Board.  She also served for six years on the Beach Redevelopment Advisory Board until she termed off earlier this year and is a member of the CVB Marketing Advisory Committee. Melissa has also collaborated with many charities on numerous events and awareness-raising campaigns and is always willing to go above and beyond to help our community.
