Originally from his much beloved New Orleans and his relocation to South Florida ten years ago, Chad worked with non-profits in various positions writing trainings and working in fund development and strategic planning until he decided to take the leap into the culinary world. Ever since then Chad continues to volunteer and donate while pursuing his work building Whole Heap brands.
Chad’s decision to write his cookbook, Whole Heap Of Goodness, started with a trip home. While there, he and his mom began preparing various old family favorite recipes. They immediately started reminiscing about how certain recipes made family get togethers so special. It was then he decided to share those stories and recipes so other people might be touched by them and find ideas on how to make the time with their family and friends even more special as well.
Chad has appeared on Yahoo finance as well as Money Talks News for helping feed families on a budget. He has been a guest on Rolanda Watts’ radio show and has multiple upcoming television and radio appearances. Chad continues to be involved in the community he was most recently Dessert Host for Junior Achievement’s UnCorked event, cooked for a benefit for St. Jude, supported Hogs for the Cause in New Orleans and many others. He also serves on the Ft. Lauderdale Code Board, chairs the Chamber’s GLBX Board and volunteers and supports various civic and charitable organizations including the Pediatric Association Foundation.
