The Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship, which is part of Florida State University’s College of Business, is accepting applications for its Small Business Executive Program (SBEP) and Nonprofit Executive Program (NPEP) Fall classes in Broward and Palm Beach County. All applications are due March 31, 2018.
“We encourage local business and nonprofit executives to consider this opportunity to expand and strengthen their leadership skills through these amazing, no-cost programs,” said Jennifer Kovach, director of the Jim Moran Institute’s South Florida Operations. “We have had the pleasure to work with many people in our community and watch them grow, develop business leadership expertise, and prepare for new challenges that lie ahead. We are thrilled to begin another round of classes this fall.”
The Jim Moran Institute offers its Fall SBEP in both Broward and Palm Beach Counties as well as the NPEP in Palm Beach. The Fall 2018 Programs commence in July and run through November, featuring nine sessions that each focus on a particular aspect of growing a business or nonprofit.
The SBEP and NPEP are ideal for CEOs, entrepreneurs, business owners, presidents and executive directors of small businesses and nonprofit organizations. Graduates emerge with the skills and training needed to capitalize on business opportunities, implement best practice management, and turn challenges into strategic advantage. SBEP and NPEP participants represent a variety of industries, including construction, technology, healthcare, fashion and law. Thanks to Jim and Jan Moran and the Jim Moran Foundation, these programs are offered at no cost to the accepted participants.
Those interested in applying for the program should visit jimmoraninstitute.org and click on “Programs” to apply. Applicants must be actively involved in running a business and be the decision makers. Ideally, companies have been established for at least three years, with three or more employees. These programs are offered twice a year and up to 25 applicants are accepted per session.
Graduates of each program receive a certificate, are afforded the opportunity to form managed peer roundtables, and are regularly invited to workshops, conferences and other Jim Moran Institute events. The Jim Moran Institute also offers continuing education credits for its programs as an option for any graduating participant.

About the Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship
The Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship cultivates, trains and inspires entrepreneurial leaders through world-class executive education, applied training, public recognition and leading-edge research.
Jim Moran was an automotive pioneer and an entrepreneur at heart, who at the age of seven, sold soda pop at sandlot baseball diamonds in Chicago. With a career that spanned more than six decades, he built an amazing chronicle of achievements in the automobile industry.
His vision for the Jim Moran Institute was to provide opportunities that would help others become more successful business owners. A 1995 contribution from Jim and Jan Moran and JM Family Enterprises established the Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship at the Florida State University College of Business. Since 2011, further enhancements to the Jim Moran Institute and its outreach have been made possible by Jan Moran and The Jim Moran Foundation.
