Everything dims in comparison when life changing, horrific events occur like in Connecticut. Tragedy seems an all too common occurrence, the innocent days of our youth so distant.
I can’t begin to express myself on these issues so burying my mind in work seems reasonable. We persevere as a country and will somehow be better because of it--more caring, loving and understanding. However, I will never be the same.
With Winterfest Boat Parade successfully behind us, the Board of Directors meeting for the last time in 2012 on Wednesday, and the Healthcare Summit at First Baptist Church that same day, we all need to be together, moving as one unit in positive motion. It seems to make it easier when I talk to friends and colleagues.
Some of you will be taking a break soon to celebrate with family and friends. From the Chamber’s staff, we wish you and your family a joyous holiday season and prosperous new year.
