From one hero to another, Sonia Perez of Angel's Pediatric Heart House first met our hero Natasha Liddie-Peets of NCLP Consulting, Inc. at a Chamber Trustee reception. She was a new guest at the Trustee event so she wanted to make her feel welcomed and began introducing her to other Trustee members. In listening to her describe her business to others she took interest right away. When you take time to listen to people and find out more about them on a personal level, there almost always, inevitably, a connection. One topic led to another and before she knew it she took hold of my idea to create a "wearable" t-shirt design with our beautiful logo to sell and help create revenue for the organization. Natasha connected me with and acted as liaison with the Fashion Design department at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. A plan was put together to have a group of students submit designs, of which a few would be chosen to feature at our Toes in the Sand Shrimp Boil on the Beach fundraiser in April and a winner would be selected. The students did the work pro-bono and it was exciting to see such young, creative talent at work! Natasha gave of her time, knowledge and professional contacts to help us realize a potential source of revenue for Angel's Pediatric Heart House. For that, she is our Chamber Hero!
