Born and raised in New York, and Long Island, Ron’s parents gave him his first camera, a Kodak Instamatic, as a kid. That hooked him.
After graduating Hofstra University with a B.A. in Communications, which included, radio, television, film and photography, Ron secured a job with Capitol Records doing sales and promotion as a Territorial Manager out west, and also took the test and got an FCC Radio Telephone license.
Two years later, after his father took ill, Ron returned to New York, to run his fathers retail liquor store, which was later sold, and the family moved to California.
Ron stayed in New York, returning to his roots and opening his own retail pet food and supply business, Pet Nosh. After 10 years, 4 stores, a warehouse and 4 cats later, the business was sold.
All the while, Ron was photographing life, pets and architecture in his free time.
In 1991,he entered the beauty business on the advice of his parents, and did sales and promotion, again, still doing photography, he moved to Miami in 1994, where his daughter was born the same year.
Ron decided to go full time with his photography, incorporating Glazer Photography in 2007 after 30 years of experience. He a member of PPA (Professional Photographers of America), member and Secretary, on the Board of ASMP (American Society of Media Photographers), and member and Treasurer on the Board of PPGF (Professional Photographers Guild of Florida).
A Notary Public and a proud member of the Ft. Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce.
His work has been published in Lifestyle Magazine, City and Shore, Ft. Lauderdale Magazine, Our City Weston, Plantation Town Times, the Sun Sentinel and Miami Herald to name a few.
He’s done numerous events for the Ft. Lauderdale Chamber and other large oompanies.
Ron has also won awards in professional photography competition, taking 2 Blue Ribbons and 2 Green Ribbons.
Ron continues to work in Ft. Lauderdale, specializing his photogrqphy to Executive Headshots, Annual Reports, Business Events, and Architecture.
