3-D objects from the Broward County Historical Collection & History Museum Fort Lauderdale are combined with photographic images from the Fort Lauderdale Historical Society's Collection to trace the 1906-1912 New River Canal dredging commissioned by Governor Broward. Historians agree that this engineering project was the most signficant event in early Broward County history. The exhibit includes aq teimline of Governor Broward's life and its intersection with Broward County as we celebrate the County's Centennial which bears the Governor's name.
