Charged with reviewing and recommending changes to the governing documents of the Chamber, the Bylaws Committee meets as requested by the Board of Directors to implement amendments to the Bylaws.
Reviews monthly financials of the Chamber. Audit & Finance is responsible for reporting its findings to the Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
This group addresses concerns with the physical plant for the Chamber and recommends short and long range solutions for the property located at 512 NE Third Avenue—Chamber Headquarters.
This group is responsible for reviewing local, state and federal issues of interest to the business community and recommending positions to the Board of Directors. Within this committee is housed the Political Affairs and the Transportation Committees.
This group handles the recruitment of new businesses and retention of existing companies is the focus of this group. It works closely with city and county governments to identify key sectors of the business community leading to job growth and a stable local economy.
This group consists of managers and owners of small to medium-sized businesses. It is responsible for the monthly Business Perks breakfast, Small Business Awards and the Small Business Awards Breakfast.
The Education Committee is responsible for identifying learning opportunities for Chamber investors at all levels. This group created Chamber University with Broward College for advanced adult education in an online environment and holds quarterly Lunch & Learn workshops.
This groups meets periodically to plan and implement high-level events and services for the premiere group of the Chamber- Trustees. You must be a Trustee member to participate.
If you are interested in building programs that attract and retain members, then this is the place for you. Included within this group are the Diplomat Committee and Non-Profit subcommittee.
The focus of this group is to build best practices and ideas that would enable the non-profit business community to thrive in South Florida. You must be a member of a 501(c)(3) organization to participate.
This group is responsible for growing the gay and lesbian business community, and in so doing, giving it a collective voice. The GLBX meets the second and fourth Thursday of every month.
