The Chambers May Business after hours was held at Chima’s Brazilian steakhouse. Members got to network and enjoy authentic Brazilian drinks and food.
The Weston Business after Hours for May was hosted by Citibank located at 1636 Town Center Circle in the Weston Town Center. Citibank provided a wonderful networking environment for guests as they sampled appetizers from Glenys International Cuisine. Guests were also encouraged to enter to win a variety of raffle prizes as they learned about the exciting things that Citibank has to offer their clientele. Congratulations to Citibank on a wonderful event!
The Graduation of Leadership Fort Lauderdale Class 15 took place on May 19, 1009 at the Signature Grand in Fort Lauderdale. Participants enjoyed the wrap-up with John Davis, LMHC Counselor and Psychotherapist as facilatator in the afternoon followed by a beautiful reception was hosted by the Signature Grand with a graduation ceremony and lots of tears and smiles with the Class 15 and LFL Curriculum and Alumni. Applications are now being accepted for Class 16.

LFL Class 15 started out their day at the Cinema Paradiso, a vintage church turned theater, home to the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival. The class enjoyed an inside view of Dolphin/Land Shark Stadium for a behind the scenes tour of the stadium, production room and areas not visited by the general public. Concluding the day presentations were given by Courtney Crush, Crush Law on the City of Fort Lauderdale Beach Master Plan and Tim Schiavone, World Famous Parrot Lounge regarding the history of Fort Lauderdale Beach from spring break to the present.
The Government Affairs Committee of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce was honored to host a Partnership Summit with the Trustees, Broward County Mayor, Stacy Ritter and City of Fort Lauderdale Mayor, Jack Seiler at the Riverside Hotel on Thursday, May 14th. The breakfast brought out key investors where the mayors discussed issues affecting the business community ranging from business retention programs, ordinances, and transportation to budgets, pensions and unemployment.
